UConn-Avery Point has named George Hardison its new head coach. Hardison will take over for Nate Stailey, who resigned from his post about a month ago after five seasons with the team.
Hardison has spent most of his coaching career as an assistant, including the last two seasons with Community College of Rhode Island. Hardison and CCRI won the NJCAA New England Region XXI championship last season and earned a berth in the national tournament. Hardison also coaches for the Connecticut Storm AAU program.
