Central Oklahoma officially introduced Emma Andrews as its new head women’s basketball coach Tuesday.
Andrews is the fifth head coach in school history – the third woman head coach – and has already begun work in leading the Bronchos.
“I want to acknowledge first of all the last 16 years that Coach Hardaker and Coach Davis have put into this program,” Andrews said in the press conference before nearly 100 supporters. “They have made an amazing foundation in which we are going to keep building on.
“I’m so happy to join this Broncho family,” Andrews said. “Coming from Australia, my family is still in Australia, I always look for a place where I can call home, and I can without a doubt say that this is my home.”
Andrews was hired May 1 to be the fifth head coach at Central Oklahoma following a six-year run in the same position at Cameron University.
Central Oklahoma begins the 2022-23 season this November.
