UCF promotes Mitchell

After obtaining her master’s degree at UCF and serving as the women’s basketball team’s director of program development, Khalilah Mitchell has climbed the ladder once again as the Knights’ new assistant coach.

The 2012-13 season will mark Mitchell’s fourth year with the women’s basketball program and her second year as a full-time staff member. The New Orleans, La., native worked with the team as a graduate assistant from 2009-11 while completing a master’s degree in sports leadership and coaching. Helping prepare video footage for scouting purposes, Mitchell served as a valued asset to the coaching staff in her first two years before being elevated to director of program development.
