Towson University tweeted the following update on the status of head women’s basketball coach Laura Harper:

Effective today, Women’s Basketball Head Coach Laura Harper is on administrative leave and Associate Head Coach Crystal Kelly will serve as Acting Head Coach during the interim period.

This past season was Harper’s first at Towson, where she led the Tigers to the third-most wins and had the most wins in a first season by a head coach in program history (21-12). Additionally, Towson won a share of the CAA Regular Season Title for the first time in program history.
