Tim Hays Resigns as Head Women’s Basketball Coach at Colorado Christian

Tim Hays resigned as the Head Women’s Basketball coach at Colorado Christian University. Coach Hays had been a part of the CCU Athletic Department since 2008-2009 season, and was the reason for the success of the Women’s Basketball program here at CCU the last seven and a half years.

In his time at Colorado Christian University Coach Hays was able to take a mediocre program and make into one of the most competitive teams CCU and the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference would see year in and year out.  Coach Tim Hays had several different team accomplishments throughout his career at CCU including:

  • Winning the NCCAA National Championship in 2012
  • Having two appearances in the NCAA II Tournament (2011, 2015)
  • Eastern Division RMAC Champions (2010)
  • Winning the RMAC championship (2015)

Tim Hays left CCU with a win-loss record of 126-93.

“Tim Hays has done a wonderful job turning our Women’s Basketball program around the last seven years,” said CCU Athletic Director Darren Richie. “We have become one of the top teams in the RMAC, and Tim has produced great players who have represented CCU well on and off the court. CCU wants to thank Tim for the time, energy, and sacrifices he continually made over the years to CCU Athletics”
