Stonehill Women’s Basketball coach Trisha Brown gets 400th career win

Stonehill College closed out its regular season schedule with a 65-46 Senior Day victory over Southern Connecticut State University to hand head coach Trisha Brown her 400th career win in Northeast-10 Conference women’s basketball action on Paula Sullivan Court at Merkert Gymnasium this afternoon.

Brown has posted a 400-184 (.685) record in her 21 seasons as head coach at Stonehill after today’s win, which includes a 297-140 (.680) mark in NE10 play. She is the second women’s basketball coach in Stonehill history to reach 400 wins, joining Paula Sullivan, who posted a 479-159 (.751) record in her 25 seasons from 1971-1996. Brown is the fourth coach in NE10 history to reach 400 wins, ranking third among active NE10 coaches and 28th among active head coaches at the NCAA Division II level for career wins.

Prior to this afternoon’s game, Stonehill took a moment to recognize its two seniors, Megan Hill and Kayla Raymond and their families, for their contributions to the program over the last four years.
