St. Mary’s College places Head WBB Coach Thomas on leave

Saint Mary’s College has released the following statement regarding head WBB Coach Paul Thomas:

Saint Mary’s College has placed head women’s basketball coach Paul Thomas on paid administrative leave, effective immediately. In following confidentiality and privacy requirements related to personnel issues, the College cannot comment further on this topic at this time. Associate Head Coach Allyson Fasnacht will serve as acting head coach moving forward.

Thomas, who is in his 17th season at St. Mary’s, won his 300th game at the college earlier this season. He has also served as the head coach at both Cal Poly Pomona, and Hamline, and has accumulated over 500 wins in his career.
