Gregory Morris has joined the women’s basketball at Shenandoah University staff as a part-time assistant women’s basketball coach.
Morris, a former AAU coach and a member of the basketball program at UNC Charlotte, comes to SU after serving as a graduate assistant coach with the Drexel University women’s basketball program from 2016-18.
In this role, he was involved in all aspects of the program including practice and game management, player development, recruiting and academic monitoring.
From 2011 through 2014, Morris was a student manager and a practice player for UNCC as he got his start in collegiate coaching.
This role came after he earned his associates degree from Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology in 2002. While there, he was a two-time captain of the men’s basketball squad, earning all-conference honors in his second year and graduating as the No. 2 scorer in program history.
From 2008 through 2011, Morris was the head coach of the Lady Warriors program, an AAU program based out of Charlotte, North Carolina.
Morris will be involved in all aspects of the Shenandoah program.
