I mentioned on Twitter this weekend that Doug Novak had resigned as the head men’s basketball coach at D3 Bethel College (MN) in order to accept a high major assistant job with a D1 women’s program. I can now confirm that he will be hired as the associate women’s basketball coach at Mississippi State.

Novak had been the head coach at Bethel since 2013 and departs with a 131-68 (.658) record. He also served as a D1 assistant on the men’s side at The Citadel and Tulane.

An official announcement is expected shortly.
