Seattle University head women’s basketball coach Joan Bonvicini has announced the hiring of assistant coach Shaquala "Shaq" Williams.

At the collegiate level, Williams was a four-year varsity basketball letter winner and three-time All-Pac-10 honoree at the University of Oregon.

Professionally, she played for WNBA teams in Los Angeles and Seattle from 2003-2005, and in Meblotap, Poland and Burhaniye, Turkey from 2005-06.

Most recently, Williams served as the assistant women’s basketball coach at Sacramento State University.
