UT Permian Basin women’s basketball coach Rae Boothe announced Monday the addition of Sam Brenner to the team’s coaching staff. Her first day will be Monday, April 9th.
“We are lucky to have Coach Brenner joining our program,” said Boothe. “She believes in the vision and direction of UTPB and the Women’s Basketball program. I have no doubt that she will help us move our program to unprecedented heights.”
Brenner’s responsibilities at UTPB include instructing players at the post position, assist in recruiting, coordinating community service projects and oversee student-athlete academic success.
Prior to UTPB, Brenner served as the Assistant at Franklin Pierce University, a NCAA Division 2 institution located in New Hampshire. Brenner’s duties included post player development, fundraising, scheduling, recruiting, and team academic advisor.
As a player, Brenner started at Vermont before transferring to Adelphi University. While at Adelphi, her team won the NE-10 conference regular season, NE-10 Tournament Championship, hosted the NCAA regional tournament, and was ranked highest at #3 in the nation.
Coach Brenner has an MBA in Sports Management from Franklin Pierce and a Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Management with a Minor in Marketing.
“I’m extremely grateful to be continuing my career at UTPB!,” said Brenner. “I believe in Coach Boothe and the future of this program. I’m looking forward to making an impact within the program and being a part of the successes to come.”
