Saginaw Valley State has suspended head women’s basketball coach Jenny Pruett and assistant coach Rob McDonald pending an investigation. Assistant men’s basketball coach Dylan Liddell has taken over the team on an interim basis.

SVSU Director of Athletics John Lewandowski issued the following statement:

SVSU has suspended its head women’s basketball coach and assistant woman’s basketball coach, pending an investigation into an allegation of misconduct. Dylan Liddell has assumed coaching duties on an interim basis.

The coaches and the team were informed of the university’s action on Thursday, Jan. 22, prior to the game against Lake Superior State.

There has been no word as to the nature of the investigation.

SVSU is currently 4-14 (2-8 GLIAC). They have gone 0-2 since the team was informed of the suspensions.
