According to a report today by the Philadelphia Inquirer’s Mike Jensen, Villanova is set to hire Drexel’s Denise Dillon as their new head women’s basketball coach.
Dillon would replace Harry Perretta, who is retiring after 42 seasons at the helm of the Wildcats. Dillon, who played for Perretta at ‘Nova, has spent the past 17 seasons as the head coach at nearby Drexel. She has amassed a 329-211 (.609) mark with the Dragons during her tenure, and was tabbed at the CAA Coach of the Year this past season.
