According to multiple reports, Ohio State women’s basketball head coach Kevin McGuff was charged with operating a vehicle under the influence (OVI) on May 6 by the Dublin (OH)Police Department. The incident is currently under review, and few details have been released. The Ohio State Department of Athletics acknowledged the situation in a statement, saying they are in communication with McGuff and are monitoring the matter closely, but consider it a personal legal issue. McGuff, who was named Big Ten Coach of the Year last season, has previously coached at Washington and Xavier.
