According to a Jack Main report, Vermont intends to hire Maureen Magarity as their new women’s basketball head coach.

Magarity is the former head coach at both Holy Cross (2020-24) and New Hampshire (2010-2020). She holds a career record of 218–196 (.527).

Magarity is the daughter of long time coach Dave Magarity – he was the Marist men’s coach (1986-04) and the Army women’s coach (2006-21). Maureen did spend four seasons on her dad’s staff from 2006-10. She is also married to current UVM men’s coach John Becker.

She would replace Alisa Kresge, who became the head coach at Richmond last week.
