Rahn promoted to Head Women’s Basketball Coach at D3 Meredith College

The Meredith College Athletics Department has named Megan Rahn as head coach of the Meredith College basketball program.

Rahn returned to her alma mater in Fall 2016 to join the basketball staff as a volunteer assistant coach and was promoted as an assistant at the conclusion of the 2019-2020 season.

She competed as a Meredith basketball Avenging Angel beginning in 2008, graduating in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in mass communications with a minor in studio art. She collected three All-Conference honors, two All-State accolades, and earned the team’s Outstanding Performance Award on three occasions during her four-year career.

Rahn capped off her career with the second highest average nationally with 24.2 points per game. She still ranks in the top-three of Meredith’s all-time record holders in most categories, leading the college with 765 rebounds, 8.1 rebounds per game, 553 defensive rebounds, and 92 starts in her 95 games played.

After graduating from Meredith, Rahn joined the Athens Drive High School girls’ basketball coaching staff as an assistant for four seasons.
