Quesenberry named Women’s Basketball Head Coach at D’Youville

D’Youville University Director of Athletics, Ona Halladay, announced the addition of Summer Quesenberry as the head women’s basketball coach.

Quesenberry comes to D’Youville from Alderson Broaddus in West Virginia. During her time at Alderson Broaddus, Quesenberry guided the Battlers to a 13-14 overall record with an appearance in the 2022 Mountain East Conference Championships. The Battlers posted a 13-13 regular season record, marking the first .500 or better season since the 2008-09 campaign. She saw one athlete named to the MEC All-Conference Second Team.

Prior to her time at Alderson Broaddus, Quesenberry served as the assistant men’s basketball coach at Urbana. During her time with Urbana, the team set a program record for conference wins and reaching the MEC Tournament for the first time in program history.

Quesenberry served as the head women’s basketball coach at Lourdes University before traveling to Urbana. In 2018, the team set program records for single-season total and conference wins. Quesenberry also served as the head coach at Brescia University from 2012-16. During her time at Brescia, she coaches a conference player of the year. In her final season, the team finished with the most conference wins in program history.

Quesenberry earned her masters of organizational leadership from Lourdes University in 2020. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Ohio Wesleyan University in 2008. During her time at OWU, Quesenberry sported a successful playing career.
