Syracuse head women’s basketball Quentin Hillsman earned his 230th victory of his career, becoming the program’s winningest head coach, in an 88-62 victory at Clemson on Thursday night.
“I don’t know what to say. It’s not something you really think about as you’re coaching.” Said Hillsman. “Being the all-time anything, usually you’re not there long enough to get it. I am very grateful and humbled. It’s great players, great staffs, great support from administration.
Now in his 11th seasons at the helm, Hillsman boasts an impressive résumé, which includes nine consecutive postseason appearances, five trips to the NCAA Tournament, 11 all-conference selections, two All-Americans, and two WNBA Draft picks. Under Hillsman, the Orange own a 230-121 overall record, averaging more than 21 victories per season.
Syracuse hosts Boston College in an ACC match-up on Sunday.
