Carolyne Heston has been named as the interim women’s basketball coach at Penn State Abington.

Last year Heston assisted in the Nittany Lions amazing 22-6 run, first ever NEAC championship, and NCAA tournament appearance.

Prior to Abington, Heston played her college basketball at Holy Family University. She won back-to-back CACC championships and went to the DII NCAA Tournament three out of her four years playing at Holy Family.

In her final season at Holy Family, Heston was second on the team in scoring averaging 10.6 points per game. She led Holy Family in rebounding with 9.4 rebounds per game.

Heston was Vice President of Holy Family’s Student Athlete Advisory Committee in both her junior and senior years.

Heston graduated from Holy Family in 2014 with a degree in Biology.
