Oswald resigns at Tiffin

Pam Oswald has resigned as Head Women’s Basketball Coach at Tiffin University.

Oswald, who has been the Lady Dragons coach since 2007, will explore other career opportunities. Oswald is second in career victories for Tiffin University, posting a career record of 87-129 over her eight seasons. She helped guide the Dragons from a 7-20 season in 2008-09 to a school-record 21-7 mark in 2011-12. That season also saw the Dragons finish 3rd in the GLIAC and advance to the GLIAC Tournament Semifinals.

"I thank the university and the Tiffin University family for the great experience I’ve had here to help grow the women’s basketball program into Division II and the GLIAC," said Oswald. "I have been fortunate enough to work with quality current and former players as well as assistants over the past eight years. And I wish the young women the best in future seasons."

"We wish to thank Pam for the time she has spent working in the athletic department," Tiffin University Athletic Director Lonny Allen said. "She has worked hard not only as a coach but as Senior Women’s Administrator to help promote women’s athletics here at the university. We wish her all the best in her future pursuits."

Dragons assistant coach Holly Focke has been named interim head coach. A national search for a new head coach will begin immediately.
