Stefano Trompeo, who served as Head Coach of the New York University women’s basketball team for the past four seasons and as an assistant for the previous five, resigned today.
Trompeo was an assistant to former Head Coach Janice Quinn from 2003-04 through 2007-08, and then took over as Interim Head Coach in November 2008. He was named the Violets’ full-time Head Coach in March 2009.
In his four seasons as head coach, Trompeo led the Violets to a 61-45 (.575) overall record and to two postseason appearances.
