Northwestern head women’s basketball coach Joe McKeown will miss tonight’s game at Wisconsin due to an illness. NU’s WBB X account released the following statement with the news late this morning:

Due to illness, Northwestern University women's basketball head coach Joe McKeown will not be with the team for tonight’s game at Wisconsin. Associate head coach Tangela Smith will serve as the acting head coach.

Associate head coach Tangela Smith will handle the coaching duties tonight for the Wildcats, who are currently 6-9 (1-3 Big Ten), and on a two game losing streak.
