North Dakota State College of Science head coach Adam Jacobson announced the hiring of Park Masterson to the women’s basketball program.
Masterson is a graduate of Macalester College in St. Paul, Minn. Where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology. She was a four-year starter and team captain her senior year, finishing 15th in program history in career rebounds.
Also accomplished in the field of Science, Masterson is a published author and has worked extensively with the Lyons Lab on the discovery of a new model organism – Berghia stephanieae – as well as advanced findings within the marine invertebrate family.
Masterson joins the Wildcats after spending the last three seasons at Rancho Bernardo High School in San Diego. Rancho Bernardo reached 20 wins in two of those three seasons and reached the CIF D1 Elite Eight in all three seasons. She also spent two years with AAU power San Diego Sol.
Masteron will begin her duties at NDSCS effective immediately.
