Navy women’s basketball head coach Stefanie Pemper announced today the hiring of Jimmy Colloton as an assistant coach for the program.
"I am really excited to work with Jimmy and I have a great feeling about what he can add to our program," said Pemper. "He’s a people person and very polished for someone only three years out of college. His boss at Indiana, Curt Miller, thinks the world of him and Curt is one of the best coaches and leaders in our profession. Jimmy has a great mind for the game and players respond well to his energy and competitiveness. He brings good chemistry to our staff and is already working hard to keep Navy women’s basketball atop the Patriot League."

Colloton has spent the past three seasons as a member of the coaching staff at Indiana. After serving as a graduate assistant for the 2011-12 and 2012-13 seasons, he was tabbed as an interim assistant coach for the 2013-14 season. His three-year stint at the school was capped by the Hoosiers posting a 21-13 record this past season and advancing to the quarterfinal round of the 2014 WNIT.
Colloton served as a student assistant coach for the Wittenberg (Springfield, Ohio) men’s basketball team while attending the school as an undergraduate. The Tigers, who have compiled the most wins on the NCAA Division III level, advanced to the second round of the 2011 NCAA Tournament when Colloton was a senior.
The native of Arlington Heights, Ill., graduated with honors from Wittenberg after posting a 3.95 grade-point average and earning his way onto the Dean’s List in each of his eight semesters as an economics major. He also attained a master’s degree in sport administration from Indiana.
