Mark Kost, who has served on the basketball staffs at Coastal Carolina University for the past 11 years, has been named assistant women’s basketball coach at Morehead State.

Kost spent 10 seasons on the women’s staff at CCU and was elevated to interim head coach in 2012-13 for the final half of the schedule. He helped guide the Chanticleers to six wins as the interim leader and more than 130 overall wins while on staff. He was the associate head coach his final two campaigns. Kost began his tenure on the men’s staff at CCU in 2002-03.

He will primarily work with the post players at MSU.
