University of Montana AD Kent Haslam confirmed last night that he will conduct a national search for a new head women’s basketball ccoach.
Mike Petrino, who coached the team on an interim basis this past season, will be considered as a candidate. Petrino took over last April after former head coach Shannon Schweyen was not retained.
Petrino led the Grizz to a 12-11 (9-8 Big Sky) record during the COVID shortened 2020-21 campaign. He had spent the previous four seasons as an assistant on Schweyen’s staff.
