Montana Tech has announced that Carly VanDyke has accepted the position as the new Head Women’s Basketball Coach.
"I am excited for the opportunity to coach at Montana Tech," said VanDyke. "I was a student-athlete for four years and an assistant coach in the Frontier Conference for eight years. I am excited to get back to Montana and grateful for the opportunity that the administration at Montana Tech has given me. I am very impressed with the upgrades in facilities and commitment to success in the classroom, in community and on the court. I can’t wait to get started."
VanDyke, a native of Chester, MT, is currently serving as the assistant women’s basketball coach at Central Washington University in Ellensburg, WA. Prior to joining Central Washington, she spent eight seasons as an assistant coach at Carroll College. At both universities, she served as the recruiting coordinator. VanDyke holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Health Education from Carroll College.
"The hiring of Carly VanDyke as Head Basketball Coach for the Lady Orediggers is a great addition to the Digger family," noted Bob Green, interim Athletic Director at Montana Tech. "Coach VanDyke’s combination of experience and enthusiasm, plus her knowledge of the Frontier Conference makes her a great choice. I join with our athletes, coaches, campus community and all of Oredigger Nation in welcoming Carly."
