Missouri Women’s Basketball Head Coach Robin Pingeton announced changes in her staff for the upcoming 2013-14 season. Formerly the Director of Operations, Michael Porter will join Pingeton as an Assistant Coach, and Mike Donovan, former graduate student coach, will become Women’s Basketball’s Coordinator of Video Operations. Heather Page will serve as the program’s Director of Operations after serving as Coordinator of Operations for the past three seasons.

"Michael has had a tremendous impact on our program the last three years. He brings vast experience and creative insight to our program as well as a wealth of knowledge both on the court and off. Michael brings a unique and fresh perspective to our program and I know he will thrive in his new role and continue to positively impact our program."
Porter spent the previous three seasons serving as Mizzou’s Director of Operations, managing video editing and film exchange. His former responsibilities also included creating several publications, managing social media efforts, serving as the color analyst on women’s basketball radio broadcasts and working to organize community and alumni outreach. In his new role, Porter will help to structure team practices and individual workouts and he will primarily focus on serving as a mentor to the Tiger guards. Porter will also use his years of coaching experience to assist with the scouting and analysis of upcoming opponents throughout the season. He will have a major hand in recruiting efforts for the program and will also oversee the creation and distribution of team publications while assisting with marketing, social media efforts and game day preparation.
Prior to coming to Missouri, Porter spent seven seasons coaching AAU Basketball and also worked as the head basketball coach for Upward Basketball. With the Upward Sports league, Porter worked with athletes to not only develop their skills on the court, but to hone in on the skills needed to create individuals with strong character, confidence and spirit. Porter began his coaching career working with Athletes In Action after a knee injury curbed his dreams to play professionally in the CBA. With Athletes In Action, Porter traveled to different locations in the United States holding high-level youth basketball skills camps.
Porter is a 1989 graduate of New Orleans. He and his wife Lisa have eight children, Abrianna (18), Cierra (16), Michael Jr. (15), Jontay (14), Coban (12), Jevon (10), Izaak (eight) and Jayda (five).
After serving as a graduate student coach for one year, Donovan has been promoted to Coordinator of Video Operations for the women’s basketball program. Donovan earned his degree in Physical Education from Illinois State University in 2011 after spending three seasons as a scout team player for the ISU Women’s Basketball team under head coach Robin Pingeton. Before coming to Mizzou in 2012, Donovan spent a year as the assistant women’s basketball coach at Eureka College under head coach Taren Martin. At Eureka, Donovan’s responsibilities included working with post players, creating scouting reports, breaking down film of opponents and assisting with recruiting efforts. Donovan helped coach the team to a 21-5 overall record and worked with the team to advance to the conference championship game. Donovan has also coached at several summer camps including Duke University’s Men’s Basketball Camp in 2011 and 2012 as well as Hoop Mountain Midwest Basketball Camps and Illinois State Basketball Camps. Donovan served as the 7th grade boys’ basketball coach at Thomas Metcalf School in Bloomington, Ill. in 2010 before becoming the director of the boys’ basketball program in charge of the 5th through 8th grade teams as well.
Page will enter her 10th season working under Pingeton after serving as Coordinator of Operations for the last three years. In her new role, Page is responsible for organizing and coordinating all the team travel arrangements, assisting with the programs marketing and social media plans, developing and organizing alumni and booster events for the Tiger Impact and Tiger Paws programs as well as assisting with day to day operations. Page came to Missouri from Illinois State, where she spent four years as a student manager and two as a graduate assistant under Pingeton. In these roles, Page was responsible for day to day operations, community service efforts, film exchange and video editing. Page’s vast experience and tenure under Pingeton makes her a vital part of the Mizzou program. A native of Catlin, Ill., Page earned her bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism in 2008 and a master’s degree in Sports Management in May 2010.
