College of Saint Mary Director of Athletics Robbie Shay is pleased to announce the hiring of Natalie Miller to be the new CSM basketball coach.
Miller’s first day with the Flames was May 20. She replaces Kirk Walker, who retired from coaching in March.
“We are so excited that Coach Miller is coming aboard,” Shay said. “The energy, knowledge and excitement she brings fits the CSM athletic department and campus culture. Her work ethic and basketball knowledge will lead our program to the next level.”
Miller was most recently the head coach at Beloit College – an NCAA Division III program. She coached there for two seasons. Before that she was the graduate assistant coach at Concordia University (Mich.) – an NAIA program. Prior to that was the basketball recruiting and operations assistant coach at the University of Texas at Dallas – an NCAA Division III program.
Miller completed her bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management from the University of Texas at Dallas, where she also played collegiately. She then completed her master’s degree in Student Personnel Administration in Higher Education from Concordia.
Miller is looking forward to getting started with the Flames.
“I am grateful and excited to lead the basketball program at College of Saint Mary,” she said. “It is a privilege to serve at an institution that values empowering and encouraging young women. I am eager to have the opportunity to further the development of our players as students, athletes and young adults.”
