Miles Community College has announced the hiring of Liz Lewis as the next head women’s basketball coach of the Pioneers. Lewis joins MCC after serving as the assistant women’s coach and sports information director at Montana State University-Northern.She takes over for Cathy Hanek who resigned to take the head coaching position at Valley City State University in Valley City, ND.

Prior to her stint at MSU-Northern, Lewis served on the staffs of Central Washington University and her alma mater, Rocky Mountain College.

Liz is a 2005 graduate of Churchill County High School in Fallon, Nevada, where she was a four-sport standout. She attended Dixie State College (UT) for two seasons before finishing her career at Rocky Mountain College.
