Megan Phelps Named Dartmouth College Assistant Coach

Adrienne Shibles, the Gail Koziara Boudreaux ’82 and Family Head Coach of Dartmouth Women’s Basketball, has announced the hiring of Megan Phelps as the first assistant coach to join her staff.

“Megan is an exceptional coaching and recruiting talent,” Shibles said. “Her remarkable record at both Bowdoin and Regis speaks for itself, and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to continue to work with her at Dartmouth.”

Like Shibles, Phelps is coming from Bowdoin, where she served as an assistant since the 2017-18 season. The Polar Bears went 87-7 over the following three seasons, making two trips to the NCAA Championship. Phelps served as interim head coach for the fall semester of 2020 and was responsible for overseeing all aspects of the program.

Before arriving in Maine, Phelps was an assistant coach at Regis in Weston, Massachusetts, from 2015-17. The Pride had a 46-11 record over two campaigns, including two conference championships.

Phelps graduated from Bowdoin in 2015 with a degree in government and legal studies. In 2019, she was named a WBCA 30 Under 30 recipient. She completed her master’s in communications at Regis in 2017.
