McMillen named Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach at The College of Wooster

Morgan McMillen, who scored 1,572 points as a collegiate standout at Bowling Green State University and Walsh University, is The College of Wooster women’s basketball team’s new full-time assistant coach.

Most recently, McMillen spent two seasons at Indiana University Indianapolis, first as a video coordinator, and later as the director of basketball operations. In those roles, she coordinated scouting reports, game operations, film management, recruiting visits, and broke down practice and game film. McMillen also led weekly academic meetings for the team.

At Walsh, McMillen was a first-team all-region and two-time first-team all-conference selection. She scored 1,075 points and averaged 17.1 points over 63 games with the Cavaliers. At Walsh, McMillen ranked 15th in Div. II with 19.7 points per game during the 2022-23 season and led Div. II with 104 3-pointers and a 48.6 3-point percentage during the 2021-22 season. Her 48.6 3-point percentage was the third-best across NCAA Div. I, II, and III women’s basketball.

Prior to transferring to Walsh, McMillen averaged 8.1 points over 61 games at Bowling Green. She was a starter as a first-year and poured in 13.1 points per night. In high school, McMillen helped Ohio basketball power Hiland High School to a state championship as a junior and earned third-team All-Ohio honors.

McMillen graduated with an MBA from Walsh and has a bachelor’s in sociology.
