Memphis head coach Melissa McFerrin received a one-year contract extension through the 2016-17 season.

McFerrin has guided the Tigers to three-straight postseason appearances (WBI – 2010, WNIT – 2011, 2012) and three-straight seasons with 20 or more victories. In her four years at Memphis, she sports a 77-53 record.
