Maggie Mehan Named Goucher College Women’s Basketball Graduate Assistant

Goucher College women’s basketball coach Joya Whittington announced recently that Maggie Mehan has joined the Gopher coaching staff as a graduate assistant.

Mehan, a native of St. Louis, is a 2019 graduate of the University of Kansas with a degree in Sport Management.  While at KU, she spent a year as a student manager with the Jayhawks women’s basketball team.  In the summer of 2021 she was a head coach with Big 3 Sports, an AAU program.  From 2017-2021, Mehan served as an assistant coach with the Nerinx Hall High School (Webster Groves, Mo.) girls JV program.

Mehan was an intern in the spring of 2019 with WIN for KC, a local organization that assists with events surrounding the Big 12 Tournament and NCAA Division I tournament regionals, as well as the KC Women’s Sports Award Luncheon.  Following graduation, she worked with Wellness in the Schools in New York City as a Coach for Kids working as an elementary school recess coach.
