Lipman-Segura Named Northwestern Ohio Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach

New Northwestern Ohio head women’s basketball coach John McGinty has announced the addition of Jillian Lipman-Segura as an assistant coach.

Lipman-Segura comes to UNOH after two seasons as an assistant coach at Jefferson College, a junior college in Hillsboro, Missouri.  Her duties there included post skill break down, assisting in practice plans, film break down, and recruiting.

Prior to Jefferson, Lipman-Segura served as an graduate assistant for two years at Carroll University in Waukesha, Wisconsin, as the university made the jump from the Midwest College Conference to the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin.  She assisted in recruiting, practices, film, fundraising and community service projects.

Lipman-Segura opened her coaching career as an assistant girls varsity and head freshman coach at Hinsdale South High School in Darien, Illinois, for two seasons.

“I couldn’t be more excited to have Coach Segura on board,” said McGinty.  “I have known her for a long time and she has put her time in at many different levels climbing the coaching ladder.  Her recruiting experience and loyalty to this program will help us to the next level.”

A Chicago native, Lipman-Segura earned four letters in basketball at Queen of Peace High School and played collegiately for four years at Benedictine University.  She received her bachelor’s degree in Management from Benedictine in 2013 and her master’s in Business Administration at Carroll in 2017.

Lipman-Segura and her husband, Michael, were married this past September.
