Lewis University women’s basketball head coach Lisa Carlsen has named Kerrie James as her assistant coach for the 2012-13 season.
James comes to the Flyers staff after four years with the Kent State Golden Flashes women’s basketball staff, serving two years as an assistant coach (2010-12) and two as the director of basketball operations (2008-10). James helped Kent State to the Women’s National Invitational Tournament in the 2009-10 and 2010-11 seasons.
As a guard on the Flashes squad from 2003-07, James appeared in 104 career games, helping the squad to a 76-41 record in four seasons. She made 61 career starts, compiling 458 career points, 162 rebounds, 184 assists and 99 steals.
