Laster Resigns as Women’s Basketball Head Coach at D2 Colorado Christian

Colorado Christian women’s basketball head coach Corey Laster has resigned from his position effective at the end of the season.

“I appreciate the effort coach Laster has invested into the program, and his emphasis on character development in the lives of student athletes.  We wish him well in the next chapter of his career,” athletics director Brian Wall said.

Laster has led the program since the 2016-17 season. During his five years with the Cougars, Laster compiled a 44-82 record heading into the final two games of the season this weekend.

During his tenure at Colorado Christian he coached three first-team all-conference honorees as well as a pair of second-team selections. After the 2018-19 season, Jordan Baer became the program’s third player to earn all-region recognition.

A search for a new head coach will begin immediately.
