Head Coach Ben Kluzak has resigned as the Northland College Women’s Basketball Head Coach announced on Monday, May 6.
Kluzak took over as the head coach in 2023. While the win column does not reflect the efforts, he put into the program, it was known how dedicated he was to the program. Kluzak was a former assistant under long-term coach Scott Sorenson on the Men’s side during the 2021-22 season.
“I want to thank Ben for his time at Northland,” said athletic director Dan Schumacher. “We wish him the best in his future endeavors.”
Former assistant Corey Sackmann has been named the interim head coach.
“I am definitely blessed to be given the opportunity to lead the program after starting from a volunteer assistant in a small role to working my way up to top assistant and now an opportunity to lead the program, especially being a local kid my whole life it’s a truly amazing feeling and ready to get to work,” said Sackmann.
