Kiploks Named Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach at D3 Ferrum

Director of Athletics John Sutyak has announced the hiring of Elyse Kiploks as Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach at Ferrum College. Kiploks joins the Panther coaching staff after playing professionally in Australia, England and Spain.

She played two years of collegiate basketball at Charleston Southern University in South Carolina, where she graduated with her Bachelor of Social Science degree in 2017. Prior to that, she played two years at Coffeyville Community College in Kansas, where she earned her Associates of Liberal Arts degree in 2015.

Kiploks also worked as Marketing and Social Media Coordinator at LearningHoo in Charleston from 2019 to 2021. She also served as the past eight months as Marketing and Administrative Coordinator at PEK Human, based in Melbourne, Australia.

She also spent the past two years from March 2020 through November 2021 as Sales Representative at AAA Supplements, located in St. Kilda, Australia.

After closing out her playing career at Charleston Southern, Kiploks spent two seasons as Director of Operations for the Bucs women’s basketball program from 2017 to 2019.

Kiploks also worked as Direct Support Professional at Abbots Care in St. Albans, England, from October 2019 to March 2020.

“I am extremely excited to add Elyse to the staff,” said Head Coach Bryan Harvey. “It’s been a process getting her to the States, but I know she is the right person for the job. Her extensive playing experience and knowledge of the game, especially with the modern style of basketball is going to help me grow as a coach. I can’t wait to see how she impacts our program.”

Kiploks began work officially at Ferrum on November 30. Her first night on the bench will be tonight’s game at University of Lynchburg. The Old Dominion Athletic Conference game tips off at 7:00 p.m. in Lynchburg, Virginia.
