Kestner Named Assistant Coach

The University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown has named former Concord (WV) University standout Jacqueline Kestner assistant women’s coach under Head Coach Mike Drahos.

Kestner, a native of Blountville, Tenn. and a 1,000-point scorer at Central High School, was a four-year letter-winner for Head Coach Kenny Osborne from 2011 through 2015.  She led the Mountain Lions in scoring at 12.7 points per game and rebounding at 8.8 rebounds per game on her way to earning Second-Team All- Mountain East Conference (MEC) honors as a senior.  Her 8.8 rebounds also ranked second in the MEC.

Kestner finished her collegiate career ranked sixth on Concord’s All-Time Rebounding List with 632.  In addition, she ranked among the Top-50 players in NCAA Division II in Career Active Double-Doubles, including a MEC-best 10 in 2014-15.

Kestner graduated from Concord in 2015 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology.

She is the daughter of Les and Carol Kestner.
