Judson U. coach quits

Jim Cook has resigned his position as head women’s basketball coach at Judson University (IL). Cook was on staff at Judson University for eight years involved with both the men’s and women’s basketball programs.

Cook went 87-112 in seven seasons as the women’s basketball coach and went to the NAIA National Tournament in his first season as head coach in 2005-06. His team also won the CCAC Tournament that year for the automatic qualification. He was the men’s basketball coach from 2004-08 and went 53-66 with a CCAC regular season and tournament championship. In his final year as head coach for the men (2008), his team also qualified for the NAIA National Tournament. From 2005-2008, he was both the head men’s and women’s coach. In 2008-09, he moved over to just women’s basketball.

A national search will start immediately for the women’s basketball head coaching position.
