As Graduate Assistant of the Women’s Basketball team you will assist with several duties that both the head coach and assistant coach assign you on a daily basis.
The primary responsibility of the graduate assistant is to provide full support of the program to which the individual is assigned.
This position will support the HSW and athletics department programs as assigned.

Detailed Duties and Responsibilities:

• Help prepare for workouts/practices
• Assist players in player development
• Schedule hotel rooms and eating establishments for various basketball trips
• Observe study halls for players on the team
• Assist the head coach and assistant coach with any work they assign.
• Position may require working with sports camps as needed.
• Develop, coordinate, and support all aspects of the HSW and athletics department programs as assigned. Enforce policies and procedures.
• Conduct research as assigned.
• Assist with emergency situations
• Position will require driving university vehicles on and off campus
• Must comply with all university and department policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor Degree in a HSW related field
• Combined Score of 280 on GRE
• Complete departmental admissions packet and receive written acceptance from the department
• Current first aid and CPR certification
• Experience in HSW programs preferred.
