Description:

The Department of Athletics at Georgia State University is seeking an Operations Coordinator, Women’s Basketball to join our team. The position is responsible for coaching and supporting staff. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as directed by the Head Coach, Senior Woman Administrator, Athletics Director, or other institutional designee.

Specific Job Duties Include:

  • Student-Athlete NCAA and Institutional Paperwork Liaison; assist with Admissions, Housing, Summer Start, FAFSA.
  • Assist management team with setting up for practice and provide hospitality for GSU and visiting teams as needed.
  • Oversee the Male Practice Coordinator (Red Squad) with roster procurement and management.
  • Implement and execute the hiring strategy.
  • Conduct interviews, oversee personnel paperwork and scheduling.
  • Assist Recruiting Coordinator with accommodations for prospects, visit details and reservations, city and campus tours, and transportation.
  • Assist Academic Coordinator & DOBO with management of team and PSA academic / PTD objectives – Class check, study hall, tutoring, etc.
  • Assist Director of Basketball Operations as needed to include team travel coordination, locker room management, equipment assistance, etc.
  • Order and manage team/staff equipment needs.
  • Oversee development and production of Team Notebook.
  • Assist coaching staff with scouting opponents.
  • Assist with recruiting, camp, and community correspondence.
  • Assist with walk-on and team tryouts.
  • Assist with Elite and Team Camp as needed.
  • Assist with on-court workouts, including rebounding for players.
  • Assist with administrative needs and daily operations.
