THIS POSITION WILL WORK DIRECTLY WITH THE GIRL’S BASKETBALL COACHES TEAM. ASSISTANT COACHES WILL BE CHALLENGED TO PROBLEM SOLVE, MENTOR, DEMONSTRATE LEADERSHIP, PLAN ACTIVITIES AND HAVE A FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE. THIS OPPORTUNITY WILL GIVE THE ASSISTANT COACHES THE COACHING AND OPERATIONS EXPERIENCE NECESSARY TO WORK IN THE SPORTS INDUSTRY. THIS POSITION WILL LIVE IN THE DORMATORY AS A RESIDENT ASSISTANT AND WILL BE EXPECTED TO FULLFILL ALL DUTIES INVOLVED WITH THE RA POSITION. HOUSING AND MEALS ARE PROVIDED.

• Filming/Video Breakdown
• On Court Instruction
• Individual Skill Development
• Statistics
• Equipment Management
• Daily Sports Operations
• Assist Head Coaches with Practices and Games
• Transportation

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree from a 4-Year Accredited College or University
• Previous experience working in College/High School Athletics
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills, with the ability to connect with students from diverse backgrounds
• Demonstrate ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility and adaptability to respond to changing needs and priorities in a dynamic environment
• MUST be able to work evenings/weekends and maintain a flexible work schedule
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hiring)
• Clear background and drug screening

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous Coaching Experience
• Former College Player, Coach or Manager
• Desire to work in College/High School Athletics
• Experience using Video Breakdown software
