To organize and maintain a quality intercollegiate basketball program. Recruit high-quality student-athletes to WC with the expectation that they will compete at the regional and national levels. Analyzes performance and instructs college athletes in game strategies and techniques to prepare them for athletic competition by performing the following duties.

Required Education

Bachelor’s degree

Preferred Education

Master’s Degree

Required Experience

Four to ten years of related experience or training

Preferred Experience

NJCAA and or NCAA experience

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • To recruit quality student-athletes (weekly)
  • Organize conditioning/weight training workouts (weekly).
  • Organize intercollegiate competition schedules (annually).
  • Set practice schedules (daily).
  • Monitor student/athletics classroom performance (daily).
  • Budget planning (annually).
  • Evaluates players to determine the need for individual or team improvement.
  • Coaches players individually or in groups, demonstrating effective sport techniques.
  • Oversees the daily practice of players to instruct them in areas of deficiency.
  • Develops practices and game strategies.
  • Adhere to all rules of the college and NJCAA.
