Coaching during competition and practice, oversight of player development, skills and strategies to achieve success in the institution’s athletics conference at the national level. Manage recruitment of prospective student-athletes, oversight of student-athlete academic achievement and graduation progress, discipline, conduct, and overall physical and mental well-being. Maintain an atmosphere of compliance with NCAA, conference, institutional and departmental regulations, policies and procedures. Manage the women’s basketball program staff and the annual women’s basketball budget in a fiscally responsible manner. Perform fundraising, community service, speaking engagements, and community engagements in an effort to bolster the women’s basketball program fan base, image and donor involvement. Work closely with UTA Athletics external services team for integrated communication, marketing, fund-raising, sponsorship and sales efforts to increase visibility of the women’s basketball program.

Bachelor’s degree. Five (5) years of basketball coaching experience at the collegiate level or the equivalent experience.

Master’s degree with a successful coaching resume and experience at the D1 level. Head coaching experience a plus. Proven success and knowledge of Texas High School girls’ basketball recruiting landscape. Budget and organizational leadership oversight of a basketball program. Post-season coaching experience. Fund-raising involvement.
