The University of Evansville, a member of the Missouri Valley Conference, invites applications for the Women’s Basketball Head Coach. The University of Evansville seeks a candidate whose experience will contribute to the University’s commitment to diversity and inclusiveness.

This position will, under administrative review of the University Director of Athletics and Senior Associate Athletic Director for Internal Operations, develop and execute strategies for the recruitment of student-athletes. Develop a regionally and nationally competitive team; organize and direct all aspects of the women’s basketball program, practice sessions to enhance the team’s performance as a highly visible sport; supervise staff assigned to the program.

• Prepare, along with Director of Athletics and Senior Associate AD for Internal Operations, a competitive non-conference schedule.
• In conjunction with strength staff, develop training and conditioning program.
• Conceive, implement, and supervise a strategy to recruit high-profile Division I student-athletes.
• Work within university, conference, and NCAA rules and regulations required.
• Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate coaches and sport specific staff
• Manage budgets including operating, scholarships and restricted
• Serve as leader for the Women’s Basketball Program and the University’s Athletic Program through articulation of their missions.
• Attend public speaking opportunities to promote basketball in the state, region, and nation.
• Communicate with media, alumni, and friends of the University.
• Work with Athletics Development to raise funds through the Women’s Basketball annual fund.
• Serve as a mentor to student-athletes helping them develop academically, physically, and socially.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
