The Intercollegiate Athletics Department at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville invites applications for the Head Women’s Basketball Coach position.  Fully certified at the Division I level by the NCAA, SIUE is a member of the Ohio Valley Conference and the Mid-American Conference (MAC) (men’s soccer & wrestling).

Reporting to the Director of Athletics, the Head Women’s Basketball Coach is responsible for the organization and administration of the women’s basketball program including a staff of three full-time assistant coaches, a full-time Director of Operations, and other support staff.  The Head Coach’s main areas of focus include coaching, recruiting, team travel, ensuring budgetary compliance, and handling all other areas of team operations (benchmark expectations will be identified). The selected candidate will develop effective and positive communication methods with players, students, alumni, and the surrounding community, and take an active leadership role in fundraising and public relations activities for both the program and the Athletics Department as a whole.  The Head Coach will also work cooperatively and responsibly with other departments and University personnel including faculty, staff, and administration.
