Miles Community College is seeking a dynamic, learning-centered, student-oriented individual to coach women’s basketball and teach college-level courses. Coaches with degrees in mathematics, science, business, education and physical education and health will be given preference. Those with more than one degree field are preferred. The teaching load will be assigned each semester based upon course availability and instructor expertise.

Coaches should have coaching experience preferably as a head coach with responsibilities in practice preparation and game strategies. Those with experience in athlete recruitment, fund raising and budgeting will be given preference.

This is a full-time, nine-month teaching/coaching appointment which is renewable annually based upon satisfactory job performance. Contract start date is August 28, 2017. Overload and summer teaching opportunities are usually available for additional compensation. The college provides a competitive benefits package including health insurance and retirement.
