Midway University is actively recruiting a full-time head coach to oversee the Women’s basketball team. Key responsibilities for this role include recruiting, budgeting, fundraising, alumni relations, community engagement, scheduling, promoting, training and conditioning, skill instruction, student-athlete and staff development, academic support, compliance, and game plan preparation and strategy.

Head Coaches are asked to perform additional duties for the betterment of the Athletics Department and University. It is expected that the coach fulfills these duties with the same effort they would put into coaching their respective sport.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required; however, consideration will be given to those candidates with an equivalent combination of education, experience and training. Master’s degree is preferred. Previous demonstrated head coach experience required, with head or assistant collegiate level experience preferred. The successful candidate will have prior recruiting experience as well as experience with athletic fundraising, alumni relations and community engagement in addition to previous budgetary management experience. Candidates should have familiarity and working knowledge of NAIA rules and commitment to a strong compliance culture. The selected individual should possess excellent interpersonal and communications skills and a commitment to the academic and life skills development of student-athletes. The successful candidate should possess or have the ability to obtain a CDL within a reasonable period.
